This is a stylish & attractive ceramic mantel clock in an Art Deco inspired Flapper Girl design. This mantel clock has been hand glazed in our own Paris white glaze with contrasting hand decorated red, grey & black glaze detail, which just scream's out 1920's, Jazz Age & complements the geometric design of this mantel clock very well. The inspiration for our Flapper Girl mantel clock comes from combining an original Art Deco design with elements of exciting, bold & colourful clothing worn by women during the 1920's & 30's. These women were known as 'Flapper Girls', their ground breaking approach to fashion was refreshing & liberating, they epitomised the cool modernism & bold style of Art Deco This piece of individual ceramic art was handmade & designed by ourselves at our Echo of Deco Art Pottery in the UK. Founded by the British ceramic design team Russell & Malcolm Akerman the Echo Of Deco studio is a contemporary ceramic studio specializing in designing & individually hand making original ceramic objects inspired by the classic Art Deco style.
