They commemorate the 900th Anniversary of the Battle of Hastings in 1066, one of the best known dates in British History. The four stamps show scenes from the similarly well known Bayeaux Tapestry which can still be seen in the North of France. 2016 was the 950th anniversary of the Battle of Hastings.
