Embroidered Construction Truck Twin Quilt, Primary Colors Patchwork Bedding

Looking for something truly unique? I saw this construction fabric & knew it was destined to be a beloved twin bed quilt for a little boy. This British fabric in bright & cheerful primary colors has construction vehicles with personality. My biggest sewing & embroidery challenge to date was designing & digitizing the 10 different embroidered appliques to match the primary fabric. It took me weeks, but I'm thrilled with how they came out, & you will be, too! This quilt is sure to be treasured & handed down in the family - truly a modern heirloom in the making. Please look closely at the other fabrics, all of which have subtle stripes, dots, & hexagons. I chose these very carefully to add visual texture to the overall simple color contrasts. The quilt backing is mottled blue fabric & I used the same fabric for a machine sewn double binding for durability. I sewed outlines around each vehicle applique & designed four quilting patterns on the fabric squares: a barrier, a traffic cone, a man working sign, & a flagman sign. These designs are sewn in bright yellow & can be seen on both the front & the back of the quilt. Size: Approximately 60 x 72 All quilts are sewn from pre-washed premium cotton fabric, & are made with Warm & Natural (tm) cotton batting for lightness & warmth. All embroidery is done with polyester thread for color-fastness.
