Hand painted antique gustavian style stencilled commode/chest of drawers height - 80 cm width - 91 cm depth - 45 cm please note that the listing is only for the three drawer chest of drawers. the pair of tables in the photos are now sold this simply stunning classically styled chest of drawers, although a close copy of the gustavian style commode, is an antique in it's own right & has some age & character to it. it is artisan hand painted by myself in a shade of scandinavian white which is very much associated with 19th century swedish funiture with a traditional blue grey folk art stencil design on each drawer. the drawers are also rustically lined with the same blue grey shade which gives them extra definition. traditionally antiqued for a rustic aged feel . the piece is raised upon slender squared legs & features a 3 drawer arrangement. orginal handles & working castors. this gorgeous piece of furniture has been hand painted, aged & antiqued to simulate an appearance of age old perfection & usage. techniques borne out of years of experience, practice & experimentation in painting furniture to the highest standards. the wonderful patination now created on this piece is wonderfully tactile to the touch & adds a depth of character synonymous with rustic charm. all my pieces of a more rustic painted nature & subtle neutral colour, perfectly compliment the easy relaxed interiors of today's country style homes. i personally love the well worn, lived with, honest functionality of these pieces as well as the elegant traditional charm of the type of interior in which they are renowned. - a substantial, lovely piece of furniture perfectly suited to any rustic setting, be that a period cottage, farmhouse or more modern minimalist property. how durable is the finish all my pieces finished in wax will stand up to normal wear & tear we advise you to treat your piece of furniture as you would a fine antique. avoid excessive water & scratchy objects. use coasters under water glasses on table tops. clean with a soft cloth & avoid all liquid furniture polishes. following this simple advice will ensure that your piece stays looking good for years to come. - vintage & antique items very often show signs of their previous life which may include knocks, lumps, bumps, small gaps, repairs, historic woodworm holes (always treated as a precaution), chips etc that you would expect. these in my opinion only add to the character & authenticity of the furniture. payment cash on collection or payment via debit/credit card/paypal would be super. couriers the free carriage applies to most areas in england & wales. delivery to scotland or more remote areas can be arranged but will attract a small surcharge & the lead time for delivery may take longer. if you are unsure, please email with your postcode. my own trusted preferred local carrier operates in different areas of the country each day & delivery could be anywhere between quite imminently to 10 working days. they will contact you personally to discuss a delivery day/time. please note that the postage fee will be for a one man delivery to the ground floor unless otherwise arranged in advance. if using an alternative carrier, please check that the courier you choose is adequately insured to carry your item. all furniture will travel well packaged with bubblewrap. collection in person is of course also welcomed. returns we can offer 14 day returns for any reason with a refund, but the buyer will be responsible for all transportation costs. the item must be returned in the same condition that it left our premises to be eligible for a full refund. if picking up, the item must be checked before dispatch, as we cannot unfortunately offer a return once the item has left our premises. many thanks for viewing this listing & if you have any questions at all please get in touch. viewing prior to purchase is welcomed & encouraged. please email me if you have questions at all! please do take a look at my other items of farmhouse inspired furniture for sale also listed in my etsy shop.
