This Azilal rug was made by a woman of the Berber tribes in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. This carpet was made by a Berber woman for personal use in her own home. She created it with wool & small portions of cotton thread, & permitted herself personal freedom in expressing her own creativity & values through North African symbology & colors as she wove these designs. This piece is one of a kind. The carpet is in excellent condition .
