Our hand blown glass bird feeder is one of our most popular items. I love making glass that is functional & used to brighten up our customers (and in this case hummingbirds) each & every day. I am of the opinion that the more color the better & these feeders are no exception. Customers can choose a custom mix of primary & secondary colors that we will incorporate into the piece. These feeders are about 3 by 5 a perfect size for humming birds. Note on color: Some combinations do not translate well in glass, especially with the frit application that we use. For example a primary white with secondary red: the red often will appear on the browner/burnt orange side of things. Our top goal is to deliver a product that looks awesome. This might lead us to alternate primary & secondary colors or add supplementary colors to bring the piece together. As always, don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. Feeder Tube Instructions: We do not make the feeder tubes/plugs, here are instructions from the manufacturer on the best way to install: 1. Fill feeder almost full with cool nectar solution. 2. Make sure the clear tube is inserted all the way into the black rubber stopper. 3. Keep the components level as you tightly insert the feeder tube. 4. Hang the feeder as straight as possible. Hang in the shade or partial shade - the cooler the nectar the less likely it is to drip. 5. If installed properly there will be an initial stream of nectar or some dripping. This is normal as the small amount of air pressure inside the container pushes the nectar down the tube. Once the vacuum is formed the dripping will stop.
