This is an example of a fully customized Birdhouse. it is beautifully handcrafted with all natural materials. It was ordered as a birthday gift for my client's mother's 77th birthday. This is her story. She loves bluebirds & hummingbirds, she lives in Santa Barbara, CA. on a beautiful avocado farm facing the ocean. She was born & raised in Texas - her heart & soul. She has two amazing grandchildren whom she loves with all her heat, they call her Gackaw. I used dried avocado skin & sliced avocado pits throughout the piece in memory of her farm & included shells to remind her of her ocean view. The names of her grandchildren & her nickname are on one side & an homage to Texas on the other. The birdhouse is proportioned for a bluebird's nest but it invites hummingbirds including a hummingbird feeder & a welcomed sign. It is perfect for any covered porch or interior space. Dimensions - sits on 6.5 x 6.5 base & stands about 14 high Each piece is made to order & it is one of a kind so please expect variations from the pictures above. Each piece is unique & made with natural materials that vary in texture, color & design. I can incorporate sea shells, rocks, colored glass, beads (when available) if requested with each order. Each piece has a unique name or word attached to it. Please let me know what you would like that to be. It is intended for indoor use but if you choose to take it outside I recommend finding a sheltered spot as I can not guarantee how well it will tolerate weather.
