A Walk in The Sonoran Desert captures the peaceful experience of being in the American Southwest desert area. Sounds are muted by the vastness & expanse of both desert & mountains, occasionally broken by bird song, rustling winds, or the sound of a distant train. I folded the prickly-pear & saguaro cacti from origami designs by John Montroll. The sky is from painted papers, & the mountains & desert floor are from torn art papers. The origami cardinal is from a design by Michael LaFosse that I love! My figures are a combination of my original origami & cut paper designs. Our artist's prints are on high-quality heavyweight paper with a smooth finish to better capture the details of the original artwork. The print is presented in a custom-made mat, hand-painted blue by the artist. The image & surrounding mat measures 16 X 20 - or - 11 x 14 - or - 8 x 10 - standard ready-to-frame sizes so no costly custom frame is needed.
