This quilted wall hanging is a large star design in which I used a line of fabric from Moda called Santorini. The fabric has green & black olives as it's main theme with coordinating fun & fanciful fabrics & colors. The center of the star has a darling floral design & two of the star points have the olive themed fabric, one of the green olives & the other has the black olives with branches & leaves. Both of those fabrics have pink backgrounds. So charming. in naming this wall hanging I had to go with Olive U....My Star ! For the inner border I used the floral fabric & a pink on pink outer border. The binding is a striped fabric capturing all the colors. I have hand sewn the binding onto the back of the quilt. The quilted stitching motif is swirling hearts which goes so well with stars in a cotton variegated thread. The back of the quilt has an all-over flower, yellow & gold against a pink-on-pink background. The cotton thread for the back is a solid pink. I have a hanging sleeve attached & a label. in the first two photos I have it shown on a queen sized bed. This outrageously charming wall hanging is 44 wide by 43.4 long. OOAK Machine washable & dry lightly, medium iron to hang. Any age would love this to hang on their favorite wall !
