I made this Mini-Quilt from the Morning Glory Allison's pattern, from Cluck Cluck Sew, a quilter who I love for the simplicity of her modern desings (but with a classic touch), & the bright & fresh colors she uses. It is made from high quality 100% cotton fabric & filled with cozy Warm & Natural cotton batting. You can see the fabric I used for the backing in 5th picture. Quilt messures approx. 37x37 & can be used as a baby lap quilt, a play mat, a stroller blanket or a wall hanging (it has a sleeve on the back for this pourpose) It is machine stitched on my small home sewing machine & quilted by hand with pearl cotton thread in white because I love it. Hand quilting adds value & vintage charm to my quilts & ensures its heirloom quality. Please note that stitches made by hand are not as even & regular as machine ones, these small imperfections (not mistakes) bring interest & homemade feeling. The binding is double folded with mitered corners & machine stitched to the front, then folded over & hand-stitched to the back for a professional & durable finish. Care: Wash in cold water on a gentle cycle with like colors. I recommend add a color catcher (available in grocery stores) to pick up any loose dyes from the fabric. Tumble dry on low or delicate, or lay flat to dry. With laundering, it will gain texture & the typical crinckled look of the handmade quilts. There is no need to iron, just shake it out & with use the wrinkles will fall out. Some fading may occur as a result of washing & over time, wich is typical for these types of fabrics. Made in a smoke free home. Although I do not use any filters on my pictures, colors may vary due to computer monitor or device variations. Customization: I can add an handembroidered tag on the back with the name, date or sentence you want. The cost will be from $30, depending on the number of letters that I have to embroider.
