I love working with felt ! I have made the background using wet felting techniques . This involves rolling merino wool's between a bamboo mat to make a flat piece of felt . The features are then added using needle felt techniques . I hand embroidered the little fences , windows , doors & birds with embroidery silks . This picture is inspired by the little cottages overlooking the sea in Devon . The picture measures 23.5 x 23.5 cm . The frame width itself measures 2 cm all round .
