The clock has a silent quartz mechanism powered by AA battery (the battery is not included due to shipment restrictions). There is a mount (brace) on the back side of the clock mechanism to attach the clock to the wall. But for the larger clocks (14inches & up) I add special mounts that will attach the clock directly to the wall. Those mounts will be included to your package. You may also order the clock in different size or shape - oval, square or rectangular. - I use only high quality glassware & paints that contain only organic solvents. The paints are water & sun resistant.
