The first texture is natural leather with a smooth, solid surface. The second is silk velvet with its voluminous pile, dyed in a textured gradient. The connection of these materials is achieved through shaped cuts in the leather, with the fabric inserted into these cuts - a technique similar to what you may have seen in Renaissance clothing, where fabric from the shirt protrudes through slits in the sleeves of a doublet. The pillow measures 20 x 20 (50 x 50 cm). Made with hand painted silk velvet in front & genuine gray (graphite) leather on both front & back. Made entirely by hand, high quality sewing.
