This original Mermaid Relief Carving, titled Rise, was drawn & Carved by hand from my own original design & concept. I was born & raised in Nova Scotia, Canada. The beauty of the ocean views, & my interest in the Fibonacci Sequence is the inspiration for this one of a kind. There were no power tools used in the Carving process, as I believe the Carving marks add depth & character to the piece. It is made of Basswood & is finished with many thin layers linseed oil.
