This unique piece of furniture was entirely hand made, & it can be used as chest of drawers for your bedroom, or it can be placed in the living room as well. This item is actually in stock & ready to be delivered! The only inspiration I had was the concept of duality: dark & bright woods combined together, & the wood carvings on the panels regarding the day (the sun) & the night (the moon). All the work was mainly made with hand tools (minimum usage of power tools), including planing, joints making (mortase & tenons for the structure & blind dovetails for the drawers) & wood carving. Many wood essences were used: Maple (legs), Niangon / Toulipier (top), Oak, Swiss Pine (panels), Walnut (drawers). This item was finished using linden oil & beeswax.
