Custom Juniper Picture Frame 11 1/4 With Non-Glare Glass

This is an example of a custom Juniper picture frame I made from wood harvested here on the ranch. Juniper is a very slow growing wood in arid regions which has beautiful color ranging from pale cream thru tan & brown to orange with a lot of character in the grain & finishes silky smooth & radiant. I kept these frames simple at 1 1/2 wide & utilized contrasting wood splines at the corners for strength. I wanted to showcase both the artwork & the beautiful wood. These frames are finished with a simple rubbed oil & wax treatment. Cost for different size frames will vary greatly depending on size & shipping destination. Please contact me for a custom quote on a frame. I prefer charging a fair price for the frame & only adding actual shipping costs to that. Once I know the size & destination, we both get a fair deal & I can create a Custom Order. Frames are available in any size desired, simply let me know the inside measurement of the opening needed, the width of frame desired & profile on the wood. Since this wood has so much character, I used a simple 1/4 round over on the outer edge & 1/8 on the inner edge & a stepped relief on the inner half of the frame face. Frames can be furnished with glass & backer board, or you can add your own, accommodating your art & matting as well. I used a 1/4 x 1/2 rabit on the back of this frame, but can create whatever size & depth you need to hold the contents you plan to mount. Often, Juniper has a lot of wavy grain & color. Since I mill my own logs, I have quite a variety of lumber available & can furnish photos of wood to discuss what fits your desires in the creation of a frame or other wood project. Since these are built to order, shipping time will be a few days to allow for manufacture, but should not require more than a week once a decision on size & material is made.
