The weavers work form their home, which means the production process does not emit any fumes. Further, the weavers are safe from working in hazardous, run down factories. MAINTENANCE : Chindis are easily maintained. You can spot clean it by hand using cold water at home - be careful that the detergent is bleach-free. Use a mild detergent & a clean cloth. Blot & pat dry. Sustainable ragrug textiles cannot be washed in one piece since they are an unspecified mix of cut-off materials. Flatten unwanted folds: Shipping, storage or impressions from heavy furniture can occur. Correction is easy. With a clean, damp (wring dry), cotton tea towel, - Lay tea towel flat over the unwanted fold - Place a heavy flat weight, like books or magazines on top. - Leave for a few hours - Remove & leave the area to dry.
