Raw wire is a much more noble material & much more complicated to work with than a creation in aluminum wire which remains very malleable & fragile & with an overly shiny appearance. I don't use any templates to make my creations. Everything is handmade. I use 1.5mm annealed wire mainly but also thicker wire. There may be some variation in shapes but it is minimal. Please remember that this is a handmade product & therefore each piece is unique. Annealed wire is a wire without treatment. It is matte. It tends to develop a patina over time.
