Welcome to Woodini's shop. This model's name is Skyscraper. INSPIRATION First I was inspired by my motorcycle's air cooled engine. So I started thinking how could I create a wooden structure where every corner should look like the heatsinks of that cylinder head. One of those multiple efforts, during the checking procedure using a lamp inside the wooden body, I was surprized by the visual effect of illumination around. When the construction of the wooden body was completed, I realized that now it looked like a skyscraper. Beautiful trip of an idea! Absolutely handmade, with extra precision & care. Made of solid European Birch wood. Each of the four sides, consists of several pieces of wood. After these four sides are completed & cut to specific dimensions, they are joined at a right angle. Then thanks to a special technique, one hundred & twelve cuts are made, from the edges toward the center of the body, leaving uncut only four compact triangular columns in the center of each side. The difference is obvious! An internal removable column made of plexiglass open at top & bottom, ensures the diffusion of light throughout the height of the wooden body. Finished with a thin coat of colourless varnish. Table lamp, ideal for bedroom & living room, with enough brightness even for reading.
