Linen requires very little water to grow & flax only grown in small part of the world, like southern France & Belgium. It's planted & harvested every year. & the same land harvested this year needs to be used for different plant to grow for the next year to keep the eco system. Linen is hypoallergenic & bacteria resistant by nature. Linen growing is environmentally friendly by nature. There is really not a need for Okex certified tag. SHRINKAGE: All of our linens are prewashed, very little shrinkage (1%) after the first wash. Not much shrinkage afterwards. We also leave a bit room when sewing. Linen gets softer with wash & use. Oxygen bleach can be used occasionally for white linen sheets only. Avoid overloading the washing machine to protect the linen from rubbing against other clothes with sharp articles such as zipper teeth.
