What you need to know about vinyl Vinyl is available in a variety of colors & finishes to meet different applications. It is available in two of quality: 3-5 years & 5-7 years. This reflects life expectancy. We use a better quality. The vinyl sheets are made in a similar way to the pastry. They start out as a lump that is rolled thousand of times until it's thin as paper. Adhesive is then appalled to one side as is a waxed backing paper which is eventually removed just prior to application.
