The Celtic Family Circle Story The family was the central organizing & political force in the Celtic culture. The Equal status of men & women, each with their own domain, was central. Age was respected & the views of the elders were given the most weight. Children were cherished but expected to yield to the rules of the clan. in the sometimes harsh environment, every family member fulfilled their role for the good of the family. The top two rings show the equal status of the husband & the wife. The lower ring represents the natural dominion of parents over children & their obligation of protection. The outside ring & the internal knots denote family bonds. What is Cast Paper? Cast paper is a handcrafted art form that brings paper to life with texture & dimension. My unique process gives each piece its distinct character. Step 1: I sculpt the original design in wax, which takes time depending on the size & detail. ???? Step 2: A rubber mold is made from the wax sculpture, allowing for multiple castings. ???? Step 3: Cotton fibers are blended with water to create a pulp, which is carefully pressed into the mold. ???? Step 4: After drying, each casting is trimmed & inspected for quality. Only the best pass this step. ???? Step 5: The final casting is hand-painted with premium acrylic paints for a vibrant finish. Each piece is a labor of love, crafted with care & precision.
