When Roger II, the Norman king of Sicily, built his famous Capella Palatina in Palermo he employed artists from Fatimid Egypt to paint his ceiling. The image we burned on wood here comes from a depiction of a medieval king from Roger's magnificent building. It can be used as wall dcor, shelf art, or even a cheese plate if you really want to impress your guests with your knowledge of medieval history since we have used natural food safe waxes to finish its surface. The piece pictured above is from a previous version of this art work. We will remake a similar piece for you using the same wood. Please keep in mind that all wood pieces, although closely same in color, differ from one another. However, we only choose the best looking pieces for our work. Let us know if you have any questions.
