First Man on the Moon, Apollo 11, framed stamps, USA 1969. This was the year that humans landed on the moon & these genuine mint framed stamps were issued in the USA to commemorate this achievement. There was only one stamp issued so these have been framed as a set of four showing a person getting down from the spacecraft onto the moon's surface. The engraved master die to this stamp travelled with the astronauts all the way to the moon's surface & an envelope bearing a proof of the stamp was also cancelled in the space module.
