Large Japanese Haze Wax Candle Tohaku Pine Tree Design

Tohaku Japanese candle, large size, are made from the wax of the haze fruit. Inspired by The Pine Trees Screen drawn by Tohaku Hasegawa, a famous Japanese painter. The pine trees in his painting are the landscape of Nanao, where these candles were crafted. The flame is an extension of the gentle lines of the trees, reminding you of a rustic simplicity. Haze wax, made from the fruit of the haze wax, has been used as a raw material for candles since ancient times. There are only a few companies left in Japan that produce these candles. The wax used is harvested in Japan Chikugo, Fukuoka Prefecture. Candles made from haze wax do not easily drip when melted. The softly flickering flame creates a relaxed atmosphere.
