Ikat fabric is a sort of traditional tissue manufactured & used for centuries mainly in central Asia. It is made using a complex handicraft manufacturing method in which some parts of the silk threads are preserved from dying, while other parts of the same thread are dyed. in this way it is possible to obtain different patterns. Reserved parts are covered carefully in such a way that only non covered zones are dyed. This process is repeated with every colous until all pattern is finished. It is posible to dye warp threads, weft ones or both of them. The filling of the cushion is not included. Dryclean recommend being our woven with natural pigments.
