The letters of New York & NY state initials are then painted with black acrylic paint. A 95 was added (for interstate 95). The arrow is also painted with acrylic paint. The sign is then sanded down to give it its rustic look. The sign is about 7.5 inches tall & .75 inches thick. The sign is 32 inches long. Each letter is about 2.5 inches long & 3 inches tall.
