A design inspired by the beautiful crafts of Transylvania. rsos, written embroidery, a true expression of Kalotaszeg & Transylvanian culture & the pride of its people, adorns textiles for use in the home & for decoration. The first pieces [approximately] date back to the 18th Century. Wall hangings were produced to commemorate ceremonies & as gifts for the church. Girls would sew their dowries, comprised of pillows, sheets, & bedspreads, as well as elaborately decorated dresses that included ribbons & beadwork. I cleaned the original old pillow, restored it, & sewed it into a new shape to fit the decoration goals perfectly in today's modern home culture. These pillows are hand washable & ironable.
