Crafted from Blue Stained Pine or Juniper. Some of the jacks can exhibit borer holes. The blue stain results from a fungus introduced by bark beetles which does not harm the wood, but can result in dramatic blue staining of the grain. Juniper ones can have beautiful grain structure & color. I can provide photos of available pine or juniper jacks so you can choose the one you want. The jacks are about six inches wide & vary in length from sixteen to eighteen inches. All are sanded smooth & given an oil finish. They have a grooved tread pattern which allows good traction for a stocking-clad foot while removing a second boot. The jaw design fits fat snow boots & narrow heeled shoes as well. Contact me as all are very unique & occasionally can include a natural live edge. Custom Branding is available if you can furnish a good image of a ranch brand, initials or other designs. Intricate detailed brands are not possible, but I'm happy to consider whatever you have in mind. Brand size is normally about 4 inches square at most.
