This vase carries a rare & beautiful crystalline glaze! It is a formula that give a unique surface quality that makes it appear as if it was made from metal, but upon careful inspection one can see it is actually millions of iridescent metallic crystals. The vase will shimmer & change depending on the lighting conditions, but it is always with a certain luster. This flask form is exceptionally difficult to produce from porcelain. It was a gift from the kiln gods, as we rarely have a vase with this glaze come out looking this good! All our works are fired to cone 11 or 12, so they are fully vitrified & will hold water. The crystals are permanent & will not fade or change over time. The bottom of this piece has been polished smooth using a diamond tools to prevent any scratching on wood surfaces.
