The butterflies are printed on a specialty translucent paper so the image shows throw the back slightly faded. That way they are two sides butterflies that look very realistic. These butterflies are very versatile & can be applied to just about any clean surface. They won't leave residue & they won't peel paint off your walls! All you have to do is peel the backing off the adhesive pad (on the back of the butterfly). Stick the butterfly to the wall & fold up the wings to the desired angle. Butterflies measure from about 2 in. to 3.5 in. IMPORTANT: After positioning the butterflies to the desired location you must firmly press the adhesive centers into the wall. If the adhesives aren't properly pushed into the wall, there is a good chance the butterflies will fall down.
