I created it to serve as a reminder for precious time spent with our children when they are small, for they grow up fast. This fairy mother is brushing & braiding her child's hair. The music of the obsidian wind chime that hangs from the mother's ankle serves as a reminder for the whimsy, joy & memories you hold in your heart. Semi-precious stones are strung around the mother's waist, the child's ponytail, & on the filament from which the sculpture hangs. These fairies can hang inside in a window or doorway, or they can hang outside. Both the copper & the obsidian wind chimes are natural materials that weather fine outdoors.
