It is original handmade art that is one of a kind; an original design created & made entirely by me in my studio. The White Wild Indigo is native to Missouri; where I live. Its pods are lovely & inspired me in this original hand incised stoneware tile. I have used peach pits to impress the tile while it was wet & incised the design into a black underglaze over the cream colored clay while it was leather hard. This one of a kind original tile was hand rolled & designed & hand carved by me (sgraffito technique) & fired to 2200 degrees in my electric kiln. The center is shiny & clear glazed & the textured area around the tile border has been left matte finish.I have mounted it on a painted black wood board & drilled a hanging hole for a nail in the back of the wood. outer dimensions of the wood measure 8x10. The total thickness of the mounted tile & wood is approximately one inch thick. clear tile stand not included. This is a fine art wall piece for your home or apartment.
