This tile is one of a series from Rachel Dein's Tactile Studio. To make the tile, Rachel laid flowers & foliage on to a rolled-out slab of clay & pressed them in to transfer all their details & then carefully removed them. A wooden frame was then placed over & the plaster poured in. Once set, the clay was peeled away to reveal the 'plants' in relief. With this original piece, she made a silicon rubber mould from which this tile was cast - using Crystacal R, a very hard, fine plaster. Size: 15 x 15 x 1.5 cms.
