A beautiful cushion inspired by the autumn colours around my home. This cotton cover has a central panel (11 - 28cm square) which has been decorated initially with fabric paints & then a sun printing technique applied to 'print' images of maple leaves & seeds onto the fabric. You can find out more about this process on my blog at https://orchardfruittextiles.wordpress.com/2015/07/24/sun-printing/ After this I use a mixture of applique & free-motion machine embroidery to embellish the design. The central panel has then been bordered by a patchwork of complementary cotton fabrics. The reverse cover is a complementary flax coloured cotton fabric with an envelope closure & the whole design is completed with handmade co-ordinating piping.The main fabrics & piping are 100% cotton. It has a simple envelope closure at the back. I suggest washing it on cool & gentle & do not tumble dry as this can disturb the applique. The fabric colour has been fixed & so will not change on a low temperature wash. Size approx. 16 square approx. 41cm square approx.
