The plant material was gathered in my garden & pressed by hand using a variety of processes in order to create this artwork. Flowering dogwood (cornus florida) is native to eastern North America. It is the state flower of Virginia & North Carolina, & state tree of Virginia & Missouri. These prints are the perfect way to bring a bit of the spring forest indoors year-round, without having the hassle of caring for a living plant!
