Please note price includes shipping & packaging. Your sign with arrive fully protected with Tissue Paper wrap & ribbon tie. I start with copper sheet metal & hand emboss your last name. Underneath I hand stamp your wedding or anniversary date along with the individual names. This can be done for a couple or family. Next, I torch fire a patina onto the copper. This is like painting with a torch. I can achieve an array of colors ranging from vibrant, to more subdued hues. Each piece turns out unique & one of a kind. The large embossed letters are hand sanded to show bits & pieces of the shiny metal underneath. This gives the piece great character while contrasting with the aged look of the patina. You may also have an established date & names hand stamped. Some clients have no hand stamping, only a date hand stamped, only names hand stamped or both. Other's request couple names, family names or even a short phrase. We can do up to six hand stamped names. Please contact us for a special listing if you require more. The copper art is then placed on a finished wood piece & set with dark finishing nails. This listing is for a sign on the dark stain finish with the original bark on the top & bottom. I have included a photo of another style done on natural wood with a clear varnish. You may request clear, medium or dark stain. If you are interested in our new line of stains, just check with us as we now have aqua, navy, cherry, an antiqued white. Each is protected with a varnish. Bark is protected with a clear varnish. The photo of this sign shows the difference in patinas & how the copper reacts & darkens a little of you would like the add-on protective varnish coats if you are considering exposing it to the outdoor elements on a porch or outbuilding. The first two are after the protective coating is put on the copper & the third is prior. Please note, a regular protective varnish is placed on all wood including the bark for all signs. The additional protective coats are placed also on copper when our clients request this. We offer this additional service in our Etsy shop at an additional cost.
