PACK CONTENTS & TIPS FOR SUCCESS.... 6 x reusable stencil is provided, 2 x small tree / 2 x medium / 2 x large... & these can be repeated to create a unique painted pine forest. +Use your stencils & 3/4 shades of colour to create a mural with depth & perspective. +You can use a light grey/medium grey/ & dark grey for example, or blue & green tones are also a great option. +Use a high density foam roller for this project so each print will only take a matter of seconds to paint. +You will only need a decent size tester pot of each colour as stenciling uses very little paint. +You can apply more or less pressure with your roller so that some parts are painted more than others, if you paint the tree tops a bit more than the bottoms, this will add a kind of misty effect to the trees like the bases of them a shrouded in mist. +Create an amazing effect using a single colour of paint & just randomly placing the trees any where you want. So it don't feel daunted, you really cant go wrong :) ( see images for illustration) PAINTING YOUR MURAL As a general rule use your 2 smallest tree stencils higher up the wall & paint them using your lightest tone. Place some higher than others to create an up & down hilly mountainous effect. You can remove the stencil immediately after painting & reposition to paint again. Each tree should only take a few seconds to paint with your dense foam roller. & as you only need very little paint, each print should only take a minute to dry. You can overlap trees a little as well if you wish. Use mainly your 2 medium size tree stencils ( you can add in a few of the larger trees a bit lower down but not over do it) & medium tone of colour for the mid-ground, you can use your smaller trees to fill in any spaces also using your mid tone paint. For the foreground use your 2 larger trees & any of the other tree sizes to fill in between, & use your darkest tones of colour. Try & make the trees at the very front the darkest...either by using a darker done of colour or painting more boldly & darker with your roller. Mask off the skirting/base board & paint right down to it , you can bend your stencil & have it hanging down onto the floor, you may need a stencil brush to pounce a little paint right down into the bottom crease. & then peel off the tape for a nice crisp line. If all that sound like to much hard work, you can definitely create an amazing
