French As independent artists, we created these 3D clocks using real objects for the hands. These clocks were entirely conceived, crafted, & assembled by hand in our workshop. The ingenious assembly system ensures optimal operation of the hands despite their weight & size. Our unique clocks represent a true innovation. They are made with 3D printed hands & are composed of dozens of handcrafted parts, each assembled individually. Some parts are 3D printed. The preparation & manual assembly require many hours of work in our workshop. The main problem posed & solved was being able to rotate needles of very unusual size, volume & weight, using a small battery-powered electric mechanism, & therefore limited in torque (rotational force) & in the possibility of offsetting the needles (total thickness).
