Each piece is totally unique with the texture & pattern of the patina created being the result of the chemicals reacting with the metal & in some cases mother nature herself. The artwork you are viewing is made from 0.7mm copper square sections all cut by hand mounted on varied sizes of blocks to create a dimensional artwork. Each square section has been hand cut from a sheet of 0.7mm copper, fine sanded, cleaned with degreaser, washed & then dried. Various chemicals are then applied using different techniques under a hot application to create the natural weathered verdigris patina. The varied methods of application create an individual look to each square creating an artwork in itself no one square is the same. The patina copper squares are then cleaned & the satin clear coat varnish is applied three times to created a satin finish which protects the colour & the beautiful patina for many years. The squares are the. individually mounted onto varied depths of MDF blocks which have been fine sanded & coated with matt white paint.
