All of my quilts are handmade in my smoke-free, in-home sewing studio. My blankets are higher quality than the majority of handmade baby blankets on the market. Most blankets are made with just one piece of fabric for the front & one for the back, with the back cut a little larger & folded over to the front for the binding. This is called a self-binding technique. This method can lead to the edges of a blanket wearing out first. My quilts are all made with 3-5 pieces of fabric on the front & then a separate piece of fabric for the binding, which results in a stronger, more durable quilt.
