Log Cabin Quilted Wall Hanging A split-rail fence encloses this cozy winter log cabin amidst the snow-covered trees on this quilted wall hanging. The scene on log cabin quilt is completed with the snowman built in the yard & the smoke that rises from the fireplace to invite us to come inside. Toile embroidery is traditionally set on fabric with a white or cream background & is a one-color embroidery of a pastoral scene that tells a story. This log cabin quilt is embroidered with a red-brown thread on a mottled cream batik fabric. The picture was then framed with black cotton strips surrounded by a batik fabric to match the embroidery thread. The border adds a forest theme of leaves, pine cones, & evergreen branches in tones of green, brown, & cream. All fabrics used in the quilted wall hanging are 100% cotton. The use of the marvelous batik fabrics create a subtle blending of design & color throughout the log cabin scene. The log cabin quilt top is then quilted with the batting & backing. The black fabric portrait frame & binding are compliments to the fabrics used to accent the log cabin embroidery. Quilting may vary from the picture to follow the natural lines of the design on the individual quilts. The binding was machine stitched to the front & hand stitched on the back to neatly finish the log cabin wall hanging. A matching fabric sleeve is sewn to the back top of the quilted wall hanging to allow for the insertion of a decorative dowel rod or branch to use for hanging on a wall in your home. This log cabin quilt scene was embroidered with 22,146 stitches in high-quality brown machine embroidery thread. The fabrics used are machine washable. Quilted wall hanging should be washed in cold water on the delicate cycle & dried on low heat to provide quality care that will preserve the log cabin quilt for years to come. Using SHOUT ColorCatcher Dye-Trapping Sheets when washing prevents any possible color runs. This quilted wall hanging measures approximately 18-1/4 x 16-3/4 Wooden hanger not included.
