A sample of this iconic design is in the Victoria & Albert Museum's archives. ... It incorporates palm trees, silhouettes of birds in flight, balustrades, dotted & striped areas & lattices carried out in clear 'Mediterranean colours - green, yellow, ochre, pink, black & bright 'Matisse' blue. It is drawn in a free painterly manner & is reminiscent of the Matisse style. ( quote from the V & A website. ) It has been piped in a matching blue cotton & lined in beige linen. All the seams have been double sewn & four stitched overlocked for strength. There is a concealed zip underneath the piping for ease of opening. Dry clean only. Design placement will vary. Also not all of the covers will have a dove as there are only a couple in each design drop. If you purchase two only one will probably have a dove. Please see the second image for a sample without the dove. I can custom make this design in your own personal choice of a different coloured piping.
