Glazes are indivually mixed & refind, using locally sourced materials such as ash from tyrolian forest trees. It is tested to be food safe. Around the area of Tahiti & Polynesia you'll find very rare, so called black pearls. in fact they're not completely black but range from dark grey to brown & green. Each pearl is one of a kind & varies in its under- & overtones ranging from lilac, to yellow, pink & green. That is also the distinct character of the BLACK PEARL collection. A translucent, iridescent, rich & deep glaze where you'll always discover a new & fascinating detail each time you pick up the vessel. No pot equals another.
