To compliment the artwork, consider adding a mount/mat before framing. This adds a buffer around the artwork & the frame, plus pulls the piece back from being in direct contact with the glazing. Mounts/Mats: For mounting an A4 print, you'll typically need a mount with an aperture (the opening for the print) that's slightly smaller than the A4 size (210 x 297mm). To ensure a snug fit & prevent the print from falling through, the mount aperture should be slightly smaller than the A4 print size (3mm reduction on each side (e.g. 204 x 286mm)). To secure the print inside the mount/mat, use archival tape, or acid-free paper tape.
