Handcrafted Cherry Chippendale Mirror

I've always been of the opinion that the Chippendale mirror is the most exquisite & interesting form a mirror can be. The Chippendale design can be found in furniture, accessories & architecture & is purely American. The mirror shown here embodies historical patterns from the very earliest beginnings of our nation's history. Each one of my mirrors is handcrafted & therefore, no two are alike. I book matched the wood for the filigree on the top & bottom resulting in a mirror image of the grain. The pattern for the mirror which is made of Cherry from c.1800 & has an overall dimension of 15 wide x 25 5/8 long & approximately 2 deep. All of my mirrors are handcrafted works of art constructed of a renewable resource, solid wood - both domestic & exotic - no veneers - & all have a rich, hand rubbed lacquer finish. I have been a professional furniture designer & maker for over 25 years, building furniture & accessories that are crafted by hand & built to last for generations. All of my pieces are bench made - that is, one man, one bench, one piece at a time from start to finish & are made in America by an American. The mirror is also available in Black Walnut & Lacewood.
