This unique burgundy floral ikat pillow cover is fashioned from a vintage cotton Indonesian sarong. Ikat means to tie or to bind. Traditionally, the fabrics are created using a resist dyeing process on the warp or weft thread, similar to tie-dyeing, & then woven to create the design. This technique produces the beautiful, uneven edges & hand-dyed look that make an ikat so distinctive. Complemented by a flax linen on the back, finished with a hidden zipper at the bottom, & fully lined in cotton fabric. Hand made in the USA. Measures 11 x 15 & fits a standard 12 x 16 feather insert.
