Kantha Throw - Black with turquoise & stone floral patterns. Reverse multicoloured Large reversible vintage throw with off white & turquoise vines & floral designs on black background. Reverse multicoloured patterns. A few patches & signs of wear due to the age of the piece. Black & white Kantha stitching. This piece has been very finely & intricately stitched. 100% cotton. Machine washable. Cool wash. 200 cm x 148 cm (79 inches x 58 inches) Kantha is a traditional method of sewing together layers of cotton saris using a simple running stitch called 'Kantha'. This age old method of recycling originated in Bangladesh & was an excellent way of creating quilts from pre-existing fabric. Each piece is completely unique with a different colour way & design on the reverse allowing a different look for your room depending on which side is shown.
