Always trim the wick to approximately 1/4 inch before lighting the candle for the first time & before each subsequent use. This helps to prevent soot & ensure a clean burn. 2. Place the candle on a heat-resistant surface or use a coaster or trivet to protect the underlying surface from heat & potential wax drips. 3. Avoid burning the candle for more than 4 hours at a time to prevent overheating & ensure the optimal burning performance of the candle. 4. Keep the candle away from drafts, as this can cause uneven burning & excessive flickering of the flame. 5. Do not leave the candle unattended while it is lit. Ensure it is extinguished before leaving the room or going to sleep. 6. Allow the wax to melt & pool completely to the edges of the container during each use to prevent tunneling & ensure an even burn throughout the candle's lifespan. 7. To extinguish the flame, use a candle snuffer or gently blow out the flame. Avoid using water to extinguish the candle, as this can cause splattering & potentially damage the container. 8. Avoid burning the candle all the way down to the bottom of the container.
