E.D.L industries Ltd manufactured these factory task lamps from the 1930s to the middle of the century. This lamp would originally have wall, bench or machine mounted in a workshop setting. As can be seen from the photos the arms suffered some fairly serious corrosion during it's working life which led to us removing what little of the original paint that had survived in order to re-finish the surfaces to suit the home environment. Once stripped, these steel components were highly polished, degreased, treated with a rust inhibitor coating before giving them a final wax buff. It has been re-wired with new braded flex & is controlled via a switch mounted in the lamps base. Each of the arms are approximately 24cm long & the lamp is supplied complete with bulb (standard B22 type).
